Weekly Pool Maintenance
Our weekly maintenance service is the foundation of a healthy pool. We visit on the same day every week, performed by the same technician who knows your pool inside and out.
What's Included Every Visit
- Skim surface — leaves, debris, cedar pollen, insects removed
- Brush walls, steps, and tile line to prevent algae buildup
- Vacuum pool floor — manual or automatic depending on conditions
- Empty pump and skimmer baskets
- Test water chemistry: pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, chlorine, cyanuric acid
- Add chemicals as needed to balance water perfectly
- Inspect equipment: pump, filter, heater, lights, automation
- Backwash filter when pressure indicates (sand/DE filters)
- Send The Hill Country Report — photos + chemical readings + notes
Why Hill Country Weekly Service Is Different
Wimberley-area pools face unique challenges that generic pool services miss. Our limestone water is extremely hard (15–20+ GPG calcium hardness), which causes scale buildup and throws off pH faster than soft-water pools. Cedar pollen in January–March can drop your pH overnight and create a film across the surface. Summer algae pressure is intense at 100°F+. We've built our service protocols specifically around these conditions.
The Hill Country Report
After every visit, you receive photos of your pool, a complete chemical readout, service notes, and any equipment observations — all sent directly to your phone or email. No other local pool company offers this level of transparency.
Chemical Balancing & Water Testing
Proper water chemistry is the foundation of a healthy, safe pool. Wimberley's notoriously hard water makes balancing more complex than average — and we've mastered it.
What We Test & Balance
- Free chlorine and combined chlorine (chloramine) levels
- pH — target 7.2–7.6 for swimmer comfort and equipment protection
- Total alkalinity — buffer that stabilizes pH
- Calcium hardness — especially critical with Wimberley's limestone water
- Cyanuric acid (stabilizer) — prevents chlorine degradation in Texas sun
- Total dissolved solids (TDS)
- Salt level (saltwater pools)
- Phosphate levels — algae fuel that builds up from cedar pollen and fertilizer runoff
Hill Country Hard Water Treatment
Wimberley's municipal water and well water both contain very high calcium and magnesium levels. Without proper management, this leads to cloudy water, scale buildup on tile and plaster, clogged filters, and damaged equipment. We use professional-grade sequestrants and scale inhibitors specific to Hill Country water conditions.
Green-to-Clean Pool Recovery
A green pool is embarrassing, unusable, and can become a health hazard fast. Common causes in the Hill Country: cedar pollen pH crash in spring, missed service visits, storm runoff, or long periods without proper chemical maintenance.
Our Green-to-Clean Process
- Diagnose the specific cause: algae type, pH crash, phosphate spike, or chemical depletion
- Shock treatment tailored to severity and water chemistry
- Algaecide application targeted to the specific algae strain
- Filter run-time extended to 24-hour continuous operation
- Multiple vacuuming passes to remove dead algae from the floor
- Backwash and deep-clean the filter
- Rebalance all chemistry levels
- Follow-up visit within 48 hours to confirm clarity
Most green-to-clean recoveries complete in 3–5 days depending on severity. We provide a time estimate upfront with no surprises.
Equipment Repair & Replacement
Pool equipment works hard in the Texas heat. We diagnose, repair, and replace all major equipment brands and components — and our ongoing maintenance clients get priority scheduling on repairs.
Equipment We Service
- Pool pumps — single-speed, dual-speed, variable-speed
- Sand filters, DE filters, and cartridge filters
- Gas heaters, heat pumps, and solar heating systems
- Pool lights (LED upgrades available)
- Automation systems: Pentair, Hayward, Jandy
- Salt chlorine generators (salt cells)
- Pressure-side and suction-side cleaners
- Robotic cleaner maintenance and repair
- Valves, o-rings, and plumbing repairs
Preferred Equipment Brands
We work with and recommend Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, and Zodiac equipment. We can source OEM parts quickly and keep stocked with the most common replacement parts for Hill Country pool systems.
